| The Isle of Portland Canoe Club welcomes
new members who have achieved a BCU 2* standard. We are an adult club, so new members have
to be aged 18 or over. Younger paddlers are well catered for
by
WOEC and their Jurassic Coast Kayak Club. WOEC are only
one of several places where BCU training can be carried out. In 2008 the IOPCC received a grant from
Awards for All that enabled us to buy a range of kayaks,
buoyancy aids and paddles that are available for use by club
members. You can see what boats we have
here.
Whatever your motivation, kayaking can offer you something.
Whether you paddle for enjoyment of the coastline, to learn
new skills, to share good company, to improve fitness, to
get outdoors or to get an adrenaline rush in white-water and
surf - canoeing is for you!
If you are still unsure whether canoeing is for you, why
not send an email to one of the club members (details
here). They will be only too
pleased to have a chat to help make your mind up.
